The full service auto repair and towing business was located at the corner of Lincoln and Marmora in Morton Grove. Wally’s son, Ron, purchased the business in 1992 and the following year expanded the business with the acquisition of Eckhart Glass & Upholstery. The business continued to grow and in 2003 moved into its new, larger location at 7860 N. Lehigh Avenue in Morton Grove. Ron has continued to add state of the art equipment, necessary to keep pace with changing auto technologies. Technicians are certified by ASE and I-CAR. Tow drivers are trained and certified by WreckMaster, a leading industry training consultant. Ron is an active member of the Glenview, Niles, Wilmette and Skokie Chambers. His red, white and blue trucks can be seen in the Independence Day Parades in Niles, Morton Grove and Skokie. Well, I’ve used Lin-Mar more than a person should have to but between 2 personal vehicles and 6 work trucks I’ve gotten to know them very well. My most recent experience was during the terrible cold snap. One of my plumbers slipped on black ice and took out the front of his truck.
